For me, meal prep is key to maintaining a healthy diet during a busy work schedule. On Sundays, I take a few hours to prepare meals and snacks for the week. That way, I can just grab something from the fridge on my way out the door in the morning.
One thing that works for me is to make sure I have healthy options available when I do need to eat out. I look for restaurants that have salads or other healthy options, or I’ll even pack a lunch and eat in the park if the weather’s nice.
I find that meal replacement shakes or smoothies can be a lifesaver when I’m really busy. I make sure to choose ones that are high in protein and have lots of veggies and other healthy ingredients.
I’ve been experimenting with intermittent fasting, and it’s actually been helpful for me. I skip breakfast and have my first meal around noon, then have my last meal around 7 or 8 pm. It’s helped me maintain my weight and stay focused during the day.
Drinking enough water is also important for me. I keep a water bottle at my desk and make sure to refill it throughout the day. It helps me stay hydrated and avoid snacking when I’m actually just thirsty.
I’ve found that having healthy snacks on hand is really helpful. I keep nuts, dried fruit, and cut-up veggies in my desk drawer so that I’m not tempted to hit the vending machine when I’m hungry.
