As an American, I don’t really have a stake in the royal family. I’m aware of their existence and historical significance, but I don’t follow them closely or have any particular feelings about them.
When it comes to their children, royals often go out of their way to give them a sense of normalcy and privacy, while also ensuring their safety and well-being. They may choose to limit their children’s exposure to the media and public events and prioritize their education and personal development.
I have mixed feelings about the royal family. On the one hand, they bring in a lot of tourism revenue and are a symbol of British culture and history. On the other hand, they can be seen as a symbol of elitism and inequality.
When interacting with the public, royals often follow the practice of shaking hands, making eye contact, and engaging in small talk. They are expected to be gracious, polite, and respectful towards everyone they meet, regardless of their status or position.
I understand the appeal, but I’m not a big fan myself. I find the idea of a monarchy outdated and prefer to focus on elected officials who are accountable to the people.
