I recently read “The Midnight Library” by Matt Haig, and it was one of the best books I’ve read in a long time. It’s about a woman who finds herself stuck in a sort of purgatory, where she has the opportunity to live different versions of her life by exploring different paths she could have taken. It was a really interesting exploration of the concept of regret and the choices we make in life.
I recently read “Braiding Sweetgrass” by Robin Wall Kimmerer, and it was a really unique and thought-provoking book. It’s a combination of indigenous wisdom, scientific knowledge, and personal stories, and it’s all about our relationship with the natural world. It’s definitely not your typical book, but it was really inspiring.
“The Four Winds” by Kristin Hannah was the best book I’ve read in the past few months. It’s a historical fiction novel set during the Great Depression, and it’s about a woman who leaves her small town in Texas to find a better life in California. It’s a really powerful story about perseverance and the human spirit.
“The Vanishing Half” by Brit Bennett was the best book I’ve read recently. It’s about twin sisters who grow up in a small, black community in the US and eventually go their separate ways, with one passing as white. The book explores themes of identity and race, and it was really beautifully written.
I read “The Silent Patient” by Alex Michaelides, and it was amazing. It’s a psychological thriller about a woman who murders her husband and then stops speaking altogether. It’s told from the perspective of a therapist who is trying to get her to open up, and it’s full of twists and turns. I couldn’t put it down.
I just finished “The Dutch House” by Ann Patchett, and it was amazing. It’s about two siblings who are forced to leave their childhood home, a grand estate called the Dutch House, after their father dies. It’s a really emotional exploration of family dynamics and the relationships between siblings.
