Social anxiety made even small things feel difficult for me. Going to a park, talking to neighbors, or being around strangers could leave me feeling overwhelmed. My dog became my little companion, giving me a reason to take short walks and slowly get more comfortable being outside.

While researching emotional support animals in California, I came across ESA Letter California and learned more about ESA letters and their role in housing accommodations.

I’m still working through my anxiety, but having my dog beside me makes the journey feel a little less lonely.
